Sarah Harding supported by Nadine Coyle, Cheryl and Fifi Geldof after sharing cancer fight

Sarah Harding has announced the tragic news that she is fighting breast cancer that has now spread to other parts of her body.

And the former Girls Aloud singer, 38, has been sent hordes of messages from her famous friends who want to show their support.

Her former bandmate Cheryl broke her Twitter silence to post a heartbroken emoji just minutes after Sarah broke the news.

She was swiftly joined by another member of Girls Aloud, Nadine Coyle, who commented on Sarah's Instagram post to send her love.

Nadine wrote: "I love you!!!! You have always been able to achieve miracles when needed!!

"I am here for the all the way & always will be!!!"

Ian 'H' Watkins from Step also sent a message of support, writing: "Sending HUGE love. Stay Strong xx We’re all behind you xx."

"Love you honey. Xx," Michelle Gayle wrote.

Bob Geldof's daughter Fifi posted: "Oh my angel... I'm so sorry to hear this awful news!!!

"Fight hard and look after yourself - please shout if I can help at all. Much love to you."

Sarah announced the news on Wednesday, sharing a picture of herself in a hospital gown.

She said: "There's no easy way to say this and actually it doesn't even feel real writing this, but here goes.

"Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.

"I'm currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can."
