Sarah Ferguson once pledged to end the rumours that Prince Harry's dad isn't Prince Charles. The Duchess of York is reported to be "exasperated" by the theories that James Hewitt actually fathered Princess Diana's second-born son after she confirmed they'd had an affair.
Diana admitted the affair in 1996 and since then, tongues have been wagging across the globe, not least because Harry and Hewitt share similar looks and red hair. Hewitt and the princess got involved between 1986 - 1991 and the affair started after he was asked to give her riding lessons.
He was a member of the Household Cavalry at the time. But Prince Harry was actually born in 1984, meaning their relationship hadn't even started, as writes the Daily Star. Fergie, a close friend of Diana's in the years before her tragic death, has been determined to put them to bed once and for all to protect her legacy.

A royal insider told New Idea magazine: "Fergie is nothing short of exasperated that this story crops up every few years.
"It frustrates her to let this go on, which is why she broke ranks. She’s sick of hearing it."
Going further into their relationship, the source detailed that while the pair "had their tiffs over the years", Fergie was one of the "few people Diana could turn to with delicate matters".
They added: "Fergie swore to take many of Diana’s secrets to the grave – but Harry not being Charles’ kid is simply just not one of them."
The source also rubbished the rumours that Prince Charles isn't Harry's dad, as Diana "hadn’t even met Hewitt when Harry was conceived [in 1984]."
"It’s chronologically impossible for [Hewitt] to be the father. It’s all a silly conspiracy theory and she’s absolutely fed up with it. There’s absolutely no question that Charles is Harry’s father", they said.
