As expected, Giants running back Saquon Barkley will miss Sunday’s Week 5 game against the Vikings with an ankle sprain.
Barkley, the 2018 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, ran for 227 yards in the two games before getting injured in Week 3.
He’ll be replaced by Wayne Gallman. Gallman is a 2017 fourth-round pick out of Clemson.
Starting for Barkley last week against Washington, Gallman 63 rushing yards and a touchdown to go with six catches for 55 yards and another touchdown.
He’ll have his hands full against a top-10 defense in the league in the Vikings.
