SAP Gives Partners Free SAP Build Licenses

SAP has announced that all its partners can now access free test, demo, and development (TDD) licenses for SAP Build, to make it easier to create AI-powered business solutions. It will allow independent software vendors (ISVs) and partners to use SAP Build’s low-code, code-first, and generative AI tools at no initial cost, with entitlements available up to fair use limits. Partners can develop, test, and deploy applications, automations, and digital workspaces, as well as create custom Joule skills and agents. Besides, the company will also allow the finished solutions to be listed on the SAP Store, which will give access to SAP’s global customer base.

Currently, the free TDD package includes all SAP Build capabilities, including Joule Studio and ABAP Cloud. It also comes with SAP HANA Cloud for multi-model database capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications. Apart from that, there are some additional SAP BTP services like the generative AI hub, logging, and cloud identity tools.

Furthermore, the SAP Joule for Developers add-on will also remain free for customers and partners until further notice. According to SAP, a new “agent builder” feature in Joule Studio will soon allow developers to design and deploy AI agents that use SAP Knowledge Graph and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) for deeper business insights and data access.

At the core of SAP Build is AI Foundation, which is a central platform with secure access to large language models, prompt management tools, and features like data masking. The company plans to expand its capabilities, with SAP Build integrating with SAP BDC in the second half of 2025. So by early 2026, partners will also be able to build intelligent applications and data products for use with SAP BDC.

SAP says the goal is simple: give partners the tools to innovate faster and bring AI-driven solutions to market without the burden of high upfront costs.
