Saoradh yesterday called off plans for “mass mobilisation” at a counter protest against a rally in support of military veterans facing Troubles-related prosecutions.
The demo, organised by Paras Fight Back and NI Crown Forces Veterans for Justice, will take place at Belfast City Hall on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Saoradh, the political wing of the New IRA which admitted Lyra McKee’s murder, said the decision was taken following “consultation with families affected by collusion and state murder”, as well as members.
