Saoirse Ronan donates jeans to help raise funds for refugees fleeing humanitarian crises

Saoirse Ronan has donated her jeans to help raise funds for refugees fleeing the worlds’s worst humanitarian crises.

The award-winning actress has joined the ranks of more than 100 celebrities who have donated to the Jeans for Refugees campaign, set up by American artist and fashion designer Johny Dar.

The collaboration sees Johny paint the jeans donated by celebrities, before they are auctioned off to raise money.

All funds raised go to the International rescue Committee, which helps refugees around the world.

Other celebrities who have donated their jeans to the cause include Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham, Emma Watson Elton John and Salma Hayek.

Mr Dar explained: “I started Jeans For Refugees to restore my faith in humanity and to restore humanity’s faith in itself. There is hope.”
