Santos president claims Everton interested in Yeferson Soteldo transfer

The president of Brazilian club Santos claims Everton are interested in their midfielder Yeferson Soteldo.

Santos chief Jose Carlos Peres has been quoted as saying the Blues, plus Inter Milan and teams in Spain, are keen on the 22-year-old.

Peres says the asking price for the Venezuelan is €35m and detailed discussions with Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio, which have fallen through.

“I will confirm Inter asked me for Soteldo, specifically Ausilio in person, but he stopped when I requested €35m,” Peres is reported to have told Calciomercato.com.

“Soteldo is a young player with sensational skills, a player who can decide games.

"I’ve received requests from all the big clubs in Brazil, he is wanted by Premier League sides like Everton, as well as many offers from Spain.”
