Santiago Moreno to Rangers transfer news as America de Cali chief responds to Ibrox poser

America de Cali's majority shareholder has revealed that bids have already started coming in for Rangers -linked winger Santiago Moreno.

The 21-year-old is impressing in his breakthrough campaign in the Colombian top flight and is reportedly on the radar of the Ibrox side, Leeds and Southampton.

Cali chief Tulio Gomez has warned that clubs from Europe will have to stump up the cash for their prized asset.

He told club fan podcast América En La Red when asked about potential interest from the Premiership champions in Moreno: “They (offers) have arrived for Santiago Moreno but he is a jewel.

"He is 21-years-old and he is growing much more. In two or three years it will be a regular in the Colombian national team”.

When pushed on a transfer value for the player, he noted that the club would want "well over €3 million" in the summer.

The attacker can play across the front three but has mainly been deployed on the right flank this season.

Moreno has netted five times in 22 appearances in the Categoria Primera A this and also chipped in with one assist.

Steven Gerrard has already added to his attacking options this summer with Zambia cap Fashion Sakala arriving on a pre-contract deal.
