Santiago Moreno Rangers transfer news as next Sadio Mane 'on Ibrox radar'

Winger Santiago Moreno is reportedly being tracked by Rangers as champions step up their summer signing plans.

The Colombian is enjoying a breakthrough top flight season with America de Cali and is attracting suitors from across Europe.

Moreno has netted five times in 22 appearances in the Categoria Primera A this and also chipped in with one assist.

The 21-year-old can play across the front three but is normally deployed on the right flank.

The Telegraph report that the 21-year-old is "on the radar" of Leeds United, Southampton and Rangers.

The note that Rangers potential to reach the Champions League could be a deciding factor in any transfer decision.

The report compared him in style to Liverpool hero Sadio Mane and he is "expected to adapt" to the British game.

Steven Gerrard has moved quickly this summer to strengthen his options having snapped up Fashion Sakala and Nnamdi Ofoborh on pre-contract deals.

Scott Wright and Jack Simpson, both originally signed on pre-contracts, moved to Ibrox early in the winter window.

There could be a shake-up of the attacking options with Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent likely to attract suitors, and Jermain Defoe out of contract with the champions.
