Santander customers across the country have been struggling to log on to their mobile banking this morning.
"The whole of my family is with Santander and the app is down not working on all our devices," Mike Ward said on the downdetector Santander page .
"Love how the santanderuk app doesn’t work on pay day, what a joke," Jessica-Jane Maguire wtote.
"I can't use the app at all today. All I get is 'oops something went wrong'," another wrote to the bank on Twitter .
But Santander simply responded with: "Hi, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app."
Another customer was asked: "Are you using mobile data or Wi-Fi to connect to the internet?"
Santander was also asking people who their mobile provider and internet supplier was, before adding: "We are looking into this."
However, reports from across the country suggest things aren't well. With the DownDetector Website logging multiple issues across mobile and internet banking.
"Your app's down on iPhone and Android, just says Oops sorry something went wrong," Michael Walsh said on Twitter.
What you can do
If re-installing your app doesn't work, the next thing to try is online banking.
If you don't already have online banking log on details, you'll need to sign up and have your account details to hand.
If you've forgotten your personal ID you'll need:
- your most recent debit or credit card, or
- your account number and sort code, which you can find on your statements.
If you've forgotten all your log on details, you’ll also need your mobile phone so the bank can send a One Time Passcode .
Alternatively, call the helpdesk on 0800 917 9170 to reset your log on details. It's open 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm Sundays. If you live outside the UK please call +44 (0)1908 237 963 , lines are open 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm Saturday (GMT).
If that doesn't work - you might need to head to a branch.
You can find your nearest Santander branch here .
Failing that, you can head to your nearest Post Office to check your balance or make withdrawals.
