Santander, HSBC, Natwest and Halifax online banking problems

Customers of multiple online banking platforms have reported problems accessing their accounts on Friday morning.

According to The Mirror there are problems accessing accounts at Santander, HSBC, Natwest, Halifax, First Direct, Marks & Spencer banking, The Co-operative bank and Lloyds.

The Mirror says the outage is linked to Sky broadband and Wi-Fi, with issues reported from 5am.

Around 450 Santander customers reported access issues to complaints tracker Downdetector.

Most of those affected reported an error message stating their session had timed out, and that the server was not responding.

Problems seem to be on both apps and online platforms.

The Mirror has contacted HSBC, Santander and Halifax for a status update.
