Santana announce Glasgow show at SSE Hydro as part of 2020 European tour

Santana have announced a show in Glasgow as part of their Miraculous 2020 World Tour.

The group, fronted by Mexican-American guitar god Carlos Santana, will take to the stage at the SSE Hydro on Thursday, March 2020.

Formed by the 10-time Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee in 1966, Santana is one of the best selling groups of all time - with an estimated 100 million album sales.

Santana's self-titled debut album was released in 1969, the same year they played Woodstock with 1970's Abraxas catapulting the band and Santana to world fame thanks to tracks such as 'Oye Como Va' and 'Black Magic Woman'.

And the new tour will celebrate two fundamental moments of the artist's iconic career: the 20th anniversary of Supernatural - the multiplatinum 1999 album that included such hits as 'Smooth' and 'Maria Maria'- and 50 years since the masterpiece album Abraxas.

Tickets go on sale on Friday November 1 at 9am here or here
