Santa tracker live shows when he will be arriving to Northern Ireland on Christmas Eve

Today is the day we've all been looking forward to the most over the holidays - new pyjamas, Christmas movies and an early night for children as they wait on Santa's arrival.

And to help spark that excitement, and hopefully get the wee ones to bed quicker, you can now track Santa's whereabouts online from today.

NORAD receives calls from around the world on December 24 asking for Santa's location. Children, families and fans also keep track of Santa's location on the NORAD Tracks Santa website and social media platforms.

With their help, children in Northern Ireland can check Father Christmas before snuggling up in bed until the morning.

On December 24, you can send an email to noradtrackssanta@outlook.com and a NORAD staff member will give you Santa's last known location in a return email.

You can also track Santa on your mobile phone, through the official Windows 8 app, and you can even chat live with a NORAD operator to find out old St Nick's location!

How do I track Santa?

Tracking Santa is easy. You can find out his whereabouts on Christmas Eve, as well as enjoying other fun activities, just by clicking here.

Alternatively, Google have also their very own fun Santa tracker, which you can watch here.
