Santa to do meet-and-greet on a canal boat to raise money for Glasgow's baby food bank

Santa is taking over Navvie's Barge for one day only to meet kids and raise money for No1 Baby Bank Glasgow this Christmas.

Youngsters can look forward to crafts, stories and Christmas carols before they meet the Big Man in his cosy cabin grotto at Spiers Wharf on Sunday December 8. This experience is most suitable for children aged 3-6.

Each child will be given a small gift and sweet treat from Santa himself and refreshments and snacks will be available to purchase.

It's free to register, with a recommended donation of £5 on the day – with 100% of donations going to the baby food bank.

The hub help provides baby clothes, toiletries, formula and other essentials to vulnerable families in the city.

But if you can't spare any cash, don't worry: Organisers said "No one will be turned away through lack of funds as we believe all children deserve some Christmas magic in their life."
