Santa's dash for cash at Strathclyde Park

It’s time to don a Santa suit – and run for a good Claus!

St Andrew’s Hospice are running their annual Santa Dash, Reindeer Run & Santa Cycle at 11am on Sunday, November 17, in Strathclyde Country Park.

They need lots of people to come along and give Santa and his reindeer a helping hand.

Santa suits will be provided to all adults, and reindeer antlers and flashing noses to all children, taking part in the 6km event.

There will be a chance to visit Santa is his grotto and meet his magical reindeer too.

The event has once again been sponsored by Amey.

Findlay Roberston, Amey’s media and communications manager, said: “We are delighted to lend our support to the 2019 St Andrew’s Hospice Santa Dash, Reindeer Run & Santa Cycle.

“This is our fifth year sponsoring the Santa Dash, which plays such an important fundraising role for the hospice and allows them to carry on their outstanding work caring for patients and their families.”

The registration fee is £5 for children and £10 for adults or £25 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Dogs are also welcome to take part at no additional cost.

All funds raised will go towards providing specialist palliative care for patients and families across North and South Lanarkshire.

To register, or for further information, go online to www.st-andrews-hospice.com/events or contact Bobby Mason on 01236 766951.
