A leaked surveillance video from Santa Clara University shows two students in a residence hall elevator, smearing blood on a wall in the shape of a swastika.
The school said it is investigating the vandalism and the video leak, and that it had identified the students responsible.
In addition to the swastika _ which was discovered Oct. 8, three days before the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur _ residence staff found "inflammatory" anti-gay writing on a bulletin board in the same dormitory.
Weeks earlier, swastikas appeared in freshman dorms at San Jose State. That school also said it identified those responsible.
At Santa Clara University, the students will undergo a student conduct hearing. The school said it notified the Santa Clara Police Department of the incident.
