Santa Claus and his sleigh may be getting ready to fly across the world in a few days time.
But that didn’t stop Father Christmas taking a slight detour to Motherwell, Wishaw and Bellshill to surprise local children.
The event is all thanks to Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club who have been organising the fun since 2015.
And after a year’s break due to the pandemic, Santa and his sleigh were delighted as they made their way through the streets.
Willie Talbot, from the Rotary Club, told Lanarkshire Live : “A group of Rotarians helped Santa and his Sleigh visit the children in Motherwell, Wishaw and Bellshill.
“Santa had his picture taken with over 500 children because that is the number of chocolate bars that Santa’s helpers handed out over the three nights.
“The reward for the club members was to see the reactions and expressions on the faces of the children as they visited Santa and they certainly achieved that by the barrowload.
“The parents and grandparents also appreciated the efforts of the club and responded very generously in donations, which came to just under £400.”
