Akshay Kumar, who recently returned back from London, took to social media on Wednesday morning and informed that his mother Aruna Bhatia passed away. His mother was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai recently.
Sanjay Dutt and Bobby Deol, who share a great bond with Akshay, were seen arriving at his residence to offer condolences to the family. The actors were clicked outside Akki’s residence on Wednesday afternoon. Take a look:
Akshay took to his social media handles to share the news of his mother’s demise. He wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

Akshay and Twinkle Khanna were seen at the crematorium in Mumbai where the last rites of Aruna Bhatia were performed. The funeral was attended by Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Ramesh Taurani, Bhushan Kumar, Kanika Dhillon, and Karan Kapadia amongst others.
Earlier today, Salman Khan, who is busy shooting for ‘Tiger 3’ in Turkey, took to his Twitter account and mourned Akshay’s mother’s demise. He tweeted, “Dear Akki, very sad to hear of the passing of your mother. May she rest in peace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family .. @akshaykumar” Other celebs like Ajay Devgn, Nimrat Kaur, Vikas Bahl and Jacqueline Fernandez were also seen offering condolences to Akshay and his family.
Akshay was busy shooting for his next film ‘Cinderalla’ in London. This is his second film with Ranjit Tewari after ‘Bell Bottom’.
