NEW DELHI: As Jasprit Bumrah dismissed India's nemesis Travis Head of Australia for a duck on the first day of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG on Thursday, the whole of India heaved a sigh of relief.
Head is the leading run scorer in this series with 409 runs from 3 Tests with two hundreds.
Head's audacious strokeplay against Bumrah has been one of the highlights of this series so this was the prized wicket for the Indians.
Bumrah bowled a back of a length delivery just outside off from round the wicket, Head lifted his bat thinking that it won't seam in or rather will nip away.
But, the red cherry just seamed in just a touch and hit the top of off-stump, leaving the Indians celebrating and Head bearing a shock and disappointed look.
Bumrah's wife Sanjana Ganesan shared a clip of the dismissal on her X handle with the caption "Headache".
This is the third time that Bumrah has dismissed Head in this series.
