Sanita Puspure's Olympic single scull quarter-final has been brought forward from Monday to Sunday, due to a forecast of heavy winds at the start of next week.
Puspure won her heat in comfortable fashion at the Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo early this morning, winning with 8.13 seconds to spare over her Mexican opponent in second place.
"Due to the forecast for adverse weather on Monday 26 July, the rowing schedule has been changed," read a statement.
Tomorrow's racing will now begin at 8am local time, which is half an hour earlier than previously scheduled, and will include first races for the hotly-tipped men's lightweight double crew of Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy.
Also ready to get going tomorrow is the women's four and the women's double, while the men's double scull - Philip Doyle and Ronan Byrne are in the repechage after finishing in fourth place in their heat today.

Puspure's quarter-final will now take place after the scheduled races on Sunday morning.
The heats of the men's and women's eights will be moved from Sunday to the end of racing on Saturday, but that doesn't affect Team Ireland.
