Leroy Sane is expected to return to full training next week, to give Manchester City another boost with Real Madrid looming on the horizon.
The Blues winger has been out of action since he damaged knee ligaments in the Community Shield win over Liverpool in August.
But Sane is now working back out on the training pitches, although he has been working away from the squad, largely doing strength and fitness work.
Aymeric Laporte returned to training with the full squad last week and is expected to be back involved on matchdays shortly.
Now Sane is close to doing the same, and with the first leg of the Champions League last 16 against Real Madrid coming up on February 26, it is a double boost for Guardiola.
Guardiola was asked whether he had any positive news about Sane and replied: “Definitely. Leroy is still not training with us but everything going really really well and he should be training with us in another week.”
