Sandy Row sudden death being investigated by PSNI

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in South Belfast.

Emergency services were called to the scene in City Way on Sunday, August 18.

A spokesperson for NI Ambulance Service said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 14.04 on Sunday 18 August 2019 relating to an incident at Sandy Row , Belfast.

"NIAS dispatched one Emergency crew to the scene. Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital , Belfast."

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man at a property in City Way Belfast on Sunday 18 August.

"This death is not being treated as suspicious."
