Sandiacre man, 25, found guilty of hunting hares with dog

A man from Sandiacre has been sentenced after being found guilty of hunting hares with his dog.

Thomas Stark, 25, of Jackson Avenue in Sandiacre appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 18.

He was found guilty of hunting hares with his dog following an incident on December 12 last year in Weston-on-Trent.

Stark was handed a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order which prohibits him from trespassing on private land with dogs.

He was also ordered to pay more than £3,700 in fines and costs.

His dog was seized and made the subject of a forfeiture order, meaning it will be rehomed.
