Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik congratulates Team India on winning T20 World Cup

NEW DELHI: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik celebrated India's victory in the T20 World Cup by crafting an impressive sand sculpture at Puri beach, Odisha. The artwork featured a massive 20-foot-long bat accompanied by 500 balls, symbolizing the team's outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

The sculpture also bore the message "Congratulations! Rohit & Team", paying tribute to the Indian cricket team led by captain Rohit Sharma. Pattnaik's creation served as a fitting tribute to the team's success and showcased the nation's pride in their achievement.

"Indian Men's cricket team won the T20 World Cup, so we have created a 20ft long bat with the installation of 500 balls to congratulate Rohit and his Team," IANS quoted Pattnaik as saying.

Pattnaik, along with students from his sand art institution, has crafted a World Cup trophy and a sculpture depicting captain Rohit at Puri Beach. The collaborative effort showcases their artistic skills and pays tribute to the Indian cricket team.

Through his sand art, Pattnaik consistently strives to raise public consciousness about pressing issues such as HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, global warming, terrorism, plastic pollution, the environment, etc. His creations serve as a powerful medium to engage audiences and promote awareness of these critical matters.
