Scotland will look to bounce back quickly from their humiliation in Kazakhstan when they travel to face minnows San Marino in their second Euro 2020 qualifying fixture on Sunday.
Alex McLeish's depleted and abject side, who are guaranteed at least a play-off place after winning their Nations League group, were 2-0 down inside 10 minutes 3,000 miles away from home in Nursultan and just could not recover, eventually conceding a third without reply.
Such an embarrassing loss piled the pressure on McLeish and made the task of automatic qualification much harder with tougher fixtures against the likes of Belgium and Russia to come.
A similar slip-up at the 6,664-capacity Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle is surely unthinkable, with San Marino - thrashed 5-0 by Cyprus on Thursday - still yet to add to their only victory to date against Liechtenstein all the way back in 2004.
