Just how good is San Jose State? Is it really a team in the mix for a bowl game after beating New Mexico last week with a good passing game and a fun offense?
The Spartans still aren’t razor-sharp, and they still can’t handle anyone’s running game – there’s no pass rush and there aren’t enough plays behind the line – but the defense is doing just enough enough to let Josh Love do his thing.
He threw for over 400 yards in two of the last three games, and now he’s going against a Nevada pass defense that’s turned into a colossal disaster.
The Pack have allowed 300 yards or more in three of their five games, and they can’t generate enough of a consistent offense.
It might be a rested Nevada team after getting destroyed by Hawaii, and it might be at home, but the San Jose State passing game will continue to bomb away and work. The Pack won’t have enough of a pass rush to slow down Love.
