Just when it seemed like San Jose State was about to make a big move, it lost three of its last four games and needs something special to happen in a hurry with Boise State up next. The Army team that has to come up with a big win fast isn’t quite the team to face.
The Knights managed to lose three straight with the offense falling flat and the defense not carrying the weight. To get bowl eligible, they have to win four of their last six, and this can’t be one of the misses.
San Jose State’s run defense had no prayer against Air Force in the 41-28 loss a few weeks ago, and it’s about to have a rough time holding up. It doesn’t get into the backfield enough, the team doesn’t control the clock or the tempo, and it’s passing game isn’t going to have enough time or enough possessions.
At home, Army will have the ball for over 40 minutes as it gets its groove back.
