Samurai swords, drugs, and luxury Gucci goods seized in dawn raid as man arrested for violence at Pier Head

A man was arrested for violence at the Liverpool FC celebrations at the Pier Head in a dawn raid - and a haul of Samurai swords, other weapons and designer goods seized.

Police swooped on the home on Lancaster Street in Kirkdale early on Tuesday morning and made a series of discoveries.

The man, 23, was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the out-of-control scenes at the city's waterfront following the Reds' first title win in 30 years.

But the raid also uncovered a cache of weapons, two swords, a knife, two knuckle dusters, a quantity of suspected class A drugs and a quantity of cash.

Also seized was designer clothing, handbags and jewellery, including a Tag Heure watch and a Gucci handbag.

Dior, Givenchy and Hugo Boss items were also found.
