Samuel Umtiti makes Barcelona transfer decision amid Arsenal interest

Samuel Umtiti wants to stay at Barcelona despite strong interest from Arsenal.

The World Cup winner has suffered with a persistent knee injury in recent months and has fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp as a result.

Clement Lenglet meanwhile has stepped up to the plate in his team-mate's absence, casting doubt on Umtiti's long-term future in Catalonia.

A number of top European clubs have been keeping tabs on the situation, with many ready to offer Umtiti a way out in the summer should he wish to leave Barcelona when the transfer window opens.

Arsenal , who are in need of a new centre-back, are among the teams taking a look at the Frenchman.

But according to Spanish publication Marca, regardless of Arsenal's status next season, the centre-back wants to stay at Barcelona.
