Samuel Saiz's pre-match message to his Leeds United team-mates ahead of Derby County clash

Samuel Saiz threw his weight behind Leeds United as they prepared to face Derby County in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final last night.

The Spaniard is currently in his homeland while he plays on loan with La Liga outfit Getafe, but ensured his former team-mates and parent club knew he was thinking of them in the run ip to the first leg at Pride Park.

And he'll have no doubt been pleased to see Kemar Roofe put Leeds in the driving seat ahead of Wednesday night's first leg.

The 28-year-old’s last appearance for the Whites took place on December 8 when Queens Park Rangers were beaten 2-1 at Elland Road.

Saiz played a key part in United’s last visit to Pride Park, when the Whites thrashed the Rams 4-1 in their second match of the season.

LeedsLive awarded Saiz a nine out of 10 in its player ratings for the match after an exciting, creative display from the playmaker.
