Samuel Eto'o has told Mohamed Salah to put his family first when it comes to making a decision about his Liverpool future.
The Egyptian continues to be linked with a potential move away from Anfield, having hinted about the possibility of a potential move to Real Madrid or Barcelona in two separate interviews with Spanish press this season.
Liverpool reportedly have no intention of selling the 28-year-old this summer, even if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League, with the forward enjoying another impressive season on Merseyside with him boasting 26 goals to his name so far this campaign.
Salah is set to lead the line against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night as he faces the La Liga giants for the first time since the Reds' infamous final loss in the competition in 2018.
And Eto'o, who played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona during his career, has advised his former Chelsea team-mate how to make a decision about his future.
"Players like Salah, Mane, Aubameyang, Mahrez and Aboubakr Sane represent Africa in the best way in Europe," Eto’o told ON Time Sport.
"I think Salah has to make a decision that suits his circumstances and his family, whether it’s leaving Liverpool or staying at the club."
