Samsung is set to launch as many as four new smartphones today, including a retro flip-phone.
The tech giant is hosting its annual Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco tonight, where it’s tipped to launch three new smartphones as part of its S20 line, as well as a foldable smartphone.
Samsung’s flagship smartphone - rumoured to be called the Galaxy S20 - is expected to take centre stage at the event.
The main S20 smartphone is likely to launch alongside two larger versions, expected to be called the S20+ and S20 Ultra.
In terms of design, leaks suggest that the smartphones will range in size, coming in at 6.2-inch (S20), 6.7-inch (S20+) and 6.9-inch (S20 Ultra).
The rear cameras are expected to be housed in a rectangular bump in the top left corner of the smartphone, while the selfie camera will sit in a small hole-punch in the centre of the screen.
Meanwhile, rumours suggest you can expect four colour choices - Black, Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue and Cloud Pink.
Other key features rumoured for the S20 smartphones include 5G connectivity, and an impressive battery of 4,000mAh (S20), 4,500mAh (S20+) and 5,000mAh (S20 Ultra).
In terms of price, rumours suggest that the S20 smartphones will range in price from £799 to £1,399.
Aside from the S20 line, Samsung has now also confirmed the launch of a new foldable smartphone, expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flip.
The smartphone was unveiled in a surprise TV advert during the Oscars on Sunday night, and appears to open and close vertically much like a flip mobile phone from the 1990s.
The advert showed the phone in two different colours, purple and black, and a small display on the outside of the phone used for alerts when the device is closed.
While few other details were revealed, rumours suggest that the flip-phone will retail for £1,400.
Finally, Samsung is also expected to unveil its next generation wireless headphones, tipped to be called the Galaxy Buds Plus.
Like Apple’s AirPods, the Galaxy Buds Plus are rumoured to be truly wireless, and could come with the S20 smartphone.
