Samsung's tri-folding smartphone is allegedly going to launch before the end of this year. Surprisingly, we've seen very few leaks of the actual device itself beyond some concept ones built by Samsung Display, a separate entity from the MX division, which produces the company's phones.
What we have seen are leaked official-looking animations. A batch from August (via Android Authority) teased some wireless features. Today, a new set of animations was leaked by the X account TechHighest with help from another user Evowizz, responsible for most of these animated leaks.
The newest videos seem to reveal how OneUI will work on the Trifold, possibly dubbed the Galaxy G Fold. If true, these images hint at a phone that could be a productivity machine.

In the threaded tweet, the opening videos appear to show how One UI might function on the extra-large interior display. These include "continue apps on main screen" and a multifold specific way of customizing your home screen, which we've seen before.
This time with Galaxy AI activated in the Samsung Internet app. Another video shows what it's like to make calls on the tablet display with floating windows that can be moved around using multitasking tools.
The second set of animations shows the ability to copy your homescreen apps from the cover display to the interior one. One also shows the display going into portrait mode, which is interesting.
A third post shows a 100x zoom option, a first for a Samsung foldable. This means the G Fold could get a periscope lens.

Tom's Guide's resident DeX expert, John Velasco, might be excited about the fourth set of animations, which seem to reveal support for Samsung DeX, which lets you connect your phone to an external display. My colleague Josh Render tested out DeX as a laptop replacement with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
He was impressed but walked away still desiring a laptop. Perhaps the Trifolding version is the one that will get more people on board.
On paper, these animations look very similar to how multitasking and using DeX would be used with the Galaxy Tab S11. Meaning this phone could be great for productivity.
What's curious is whether or not the G Fold will be able to handle all of these tasks and features. The Z Fold 7 features a 4,400 mAh battery that is smaller than the 5,000mAh one in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which Samsung has used for years.
Our tests squeezed 10 hours and 55 minutes out of the foldable, but that's weaker than similar phones like the OnePlus Open and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
