Samsung's flagship flip phone drops to lowest price ever ahead of Galaxy Flip 5 launch

Samsung is at the top of the game when it comes to foldable smartphones, as the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has proved. Now, one retailer has taken £400 off the price to gear up for the launch of the newest Z Flip 5 model which is expected to launch in a couple of weeks' time.

Amazon shoppers can currently pick up the 2022 device for just £599 - that's hundreds cheaper than its usual £999 price tag. Savings aside, this handset is one not to be ignored as a top rival to Google's Pixel Fold, the Motorola Razr 40 and even fellow Galaxy, the Z Fold 4.

Tech deals drop hard and fast each Amazon Prime Day, and we expect nothing less across the next two days, but when buying a pricey piece of tech it's important shoppers know which devices are worth their money, even with the reduced prices. And this Galaxy Z Flip 4 is certainly it.

The 128 GB handset usually retails for £999 but the Prime retail giant is now offering the device for £599 on the first day of its annual sale. It's £400 cheaper than Amazon's original price tag, and £300 cheaper than the price set on the Samsung site.

Outside of the current Prime Day sale, Amazon was actually selling the handset for £100 more than Samsung, as the own brand retails the 128GB model for £899. This is why we always warn shoppers to look into online deals before completing the steps at checkout.

Nonetheless, those who pick up the Galaxy Z Flip 4 handset at the Prime retailer today will pay the best price we've seen so far. In true 'lightning style' there's no guarantee how long the saving will be around as Amazon fluctuate its prices each day.

As seen earlier this week as Galaxy S22 shoppers got £330 off the model, now the discount price has risen to a £306. Like the Z Flip 4, it's not the most current model of the range on the market, overtaken by the S23, but it's a hard-to-beat price on a model that acts almost identically to the 2023 releases.

The tech deals don't stop at Samsung products either, as the retailer prepares to host its sale there are some hard to beat offers 'hidden' across its site. The 2022 iPad Pro 12-inch is now reduced to £1,962, £87 cheaper than Amazon's initial price and the price still being offerred at Apple.
