Samsung has officially expanded its foldable and wearable portfolio with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. The new devices are now rolling out globally, with sales beginning in select markets from August 7.
According to Samsung, early demand for the latest Galaxy Z series has been strong, with pre-orders rising by more than 30% compared with the previous generation. Graphite emerged as the most popular colour for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8, while Pink was the top choice among Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Series Brings Three Foldable Experiences
Samsung's latest Galaxy Z lineup is designed to offer different foldable experiences depending on how users want to work, create, consume content and stay connected.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 focuses on a wider cover display for everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing and watching short-form videos, while its 4:3 main display is designed for more immersive activities such as reading, gaming and viewing content.
The foldable is Samsung's lightest Galaxy Z Fold yet, weighing 201g. It also features the company's new Flex Titanium technology, which supports a slimmer display structure while improving durability and reducing the visibility of the crease over time.

The device features an 8-inch main display, giving users more room for multitasking and creative work. Samsung has also introduced features such as Now Nudge, which can suggest relevant next steps across supported applications.
Photography is another major focus. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra comes with a 200MP main camera that supports HDR in 200MP mode, along with a new 50MP ultra-wide camera for wider shots and macro photography.
Samsung has also introduced Dual Recording across the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. The feature allows users to record an event while simultaneously capturing their own reactions. The My FanCam feature can automatically track and reframe a selected subject.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0. It also features an expanded graphite cooling structure. When unfolded, the device measures just 4.1mm thick and weighs 215g, making it Samsung's slimmest Z Fold design yet.
Galaxy Z Flip8 Focuses On Camera, FlexWindow And AI
The Galaxy Z Flip8 has been designed for users looking for a compact foldable with an emphasis on quick interactions and photography.
Samsung has redesigned its FlexWindow to provide access to applications, information and actions directly from the cover screen. The Now Brief feature can also surface personalised information based on a user's schedule, routines and interests.
Users can access Gemini from the FlexWindow using the side key or natural voice commands, allowing them to carry out connected tasks without necessarily opening the phone.
For photography, the Galaxy Z Flip8 features a 50MP camera, Samsung's ProVisual Engine and FlexCam capabilities. These features are designed to make it easier to capture and preview photos and videos from different angles.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Targets Outdoor And Fitness Users
Alongside the new foldable phones, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, aimed at outdoor enthusiasts and users looking for a more rugged smartwatch.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 comes in a 47mm size and features an 800mAh battery. Its display can reach up to 5,000 nits of brightness, while the watch uses a shock-resistant titanium casing.
The smartwatch also includes dedicated outdoor sports tracking modes, including Trail Run. It carries IP69K and 10 ATM ratings and is certified to EN 13319, adding to its focus on durability and outdoor use.
Galaxy Watch9 Designed For Everyday Health Tracking
The Galaxy Watch9 is positioned as a more everyday health and wellness companion. It is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes and features a lightweight aluminium casing designed for comfortable 24/7 wear.
Its display can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness. Samsung has also introduced several health and fitness features, including Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index and Hearing.
Both Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 are powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform, with Samsung focusing on improved performance, comfort, battery life and continuous health tracking.
Samsung Makes Switching From iPhone Easier With Smart Switch
Samsung has also upgraded its Smart Switch migration experience to make it easier for users to move from other devices, including iPhones.
iOS users can scan a QR code on their existing device and transfer data wirelessly without downloading an additional application. Smart Switch can now transfer more types of information, including passwords and passkeys, call history, accessibility settings and eSIM information.
Samsung has also introduced compatibility between Quick Share and AirDrop, allowing users to share files between Galaxy and iOS devices in both directions.
