Of course, these are still foldable phones that we’re talking about, so they’re still towards the upper end of smartphone pricing. But if you’ve been put off by foldable phone prices in the past, then things might look a little more palatable this year.

If you want more storage, you can pay $1,219 / £1,149 / AU$1,999 for a version with 512GB. Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there’s no 1TB model here, and no matter which version you buy, you’ll get 12GB of RAM.
Those are the same prices as last year too, so Samsung hasn’t upped the price from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is a more affordable option, though it could still hardly be called cheap, with the starting price being $899 / £849 / AU$1,499.
For that, you get a version with 128GB of storage, while if you’d like 256GB it will set you back $959 / £899 / AU$1,599. In both cases that’s with 8GB of RAM. So you get less RAM here than in the standard Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, and it tops out at less storage.
Those aren’t the only differences – the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE also has smaller screens, a worse chipset, and a smaller battery. So those are the main compromises you’re making if you choose this cheaper foldable.
