Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus leak claims its screen size will match the Ultra — wait, what?

SmartPrix renders of the galaxy s26 phones.

Between the ongoing RAM crisis and the failure of the Galaxy S25 Edge, it's been suggested that next year’s Galaxy S26 lineup will receive minor updates. However, a new leak suggests that the Plus model could be in for a bigger shakeup than we previously thought.

The leak comes from Tech Informer on Facebook who released an infographic highlighting specs for all three S26 phones. Several of the included upgrades are ones we’ve been expecting like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, though Tech Informer hedges its bets by adding ‘or Exynos 2600.’

There are some other things of note too like the hint that Samsung could increase the Plus model’s screen size from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, matching the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Sneakily, even the vanilla Galaxy S26 looks to be getting a little bigger with a 6.3 inch display, which is slightly larger than the 6.2 inch AMOLED on the Galaxy S25.

There’s more than just increased screen sizes, though. The leaked image also claims the S26 family will get MagSafe support, or, as Samsung will market it, Qi2. This appears to confirm recent leaks that Samsung will finally include magnets for wireless charging in its flagship phones.

A little bit closer

Interestingly, the infographic also includes an apparent upgrade to the telephoto lens in both the base and Plus models. For some time, it's been suggested that Samsung would keep the same 10MP 3x sensors the company has used since the Galaxy S22.

Now, though, both models appear to be getting a slight upgrade up to a 12MP 3x telephoto lens. This is the first time we’ve seen this rumor anywhere. If true, it’s a long-overdue update.

Finally, the graphic shows that the Ultra could be getting a much-needed charging speed boost to 60W. However, the lower models appear to be retaining the same 25W and 45W wired charging speeds as their predecessors.

Overall, if this leak is at all accurate, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus could be an intriguing device in the S26 lineup rather than just a larger version of the S26, giving you an Ultra-sized experience without the Ultra price tag.

Samsung’s next Unpacked event could either be held during the normal January window or, as earlier rumors suggested, it might come later in February is the Galaxy S26 won’t launch until March.
