Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be revealed tomorrow - here's what to expect

Tomorrow, Samsung will finally unveil its Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus smartphones , following months of anticipation.

The devices will be unveiled at an Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York, which starts at 21:00 BST.

While Samsung has remained tight-lipped about what we can expect in the Note 10, rumours have been flying left, right and centre about the smarpthone.

From a hole-punch camera to no headphone jack, here are all the features we expect to see in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.

Design

A recent video posted by Mobile Fun claims to show both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus in full detail.

The video suggests that the Note 10 will feature a 6.3-inch screen, while the Note 10 Plus will have a whopping 6.8-inch screen.

Both smartphones appear to have almost edgeless displays with rounded edges, although the top of the screen is interrupted by a central hole-punch camera.

As expected, the bottom of the phone has the distinctive Stylus pen, however, the much-loved headphone jack has finally been ditched.

Mobile Fun said: “Most Samsung users will scorn this decision, forcing them through the same pain as iOS users when Apple removed the headphone jack in the iPhone 7.”

However, most of the other buttons remain in the same place and have the same function as on the Galaxy Note 9.

Colours

Recent images leaked by WinFuture suggest that Samsung could launch the smartphone in four colours.

While three colours are fairly muted (Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black), the fourth is pretty out there.

The leaked images reveal a ‘Yoghurt Pink’ variation, which also comes with a matching pink stylus.

This wouldn’t be a strange move for Samsung, who last year launched a Lavender version of the Galaxy Note 9 alongside the more basic hues.

Cameras

In terms of cameras, the rear lenses are likely to be rearranged into a vertical alignment - a change from the Note 9 which saw the cameras aligned horizontally.

According to Mobile Fun video, the Note 10 has a triple lens rear camera, while the Note 10 Plus appears to have four lenses as well as a sensor, placed by the flash.

Meanwhile, the front camera has been moved to the centre of the screen, and is a single lens - similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10.

Battery

Rumours suggest that the Note 10 will have a whopping 4,500mAh battery - up from the 4,000mAh battery on the Note 9.

Samsung has also revealed that the smartphone will support its Superfast Charge feature, which was introduced in the Galaxy S10 5G earlier this year.

At the launch of the Galaxy S10, Samsung explained: “Supported by the USB Power Delivery 3.0 PPS (programmable power standard), Galaxy S10 5G's Super Fast Charging capabilities pull 25 watts of power when plugged in, to repower your phone in a flash.”

The fact that Superfast Charge is listed on the Note 10 event page suggests that the smartphone will support 25W wired charging at the minimum.

However, previous rumours suggest that the Note 10+ could support a whopping 45W wired charging thanks to an adapter in the box.

Key features

It’s become a distinctive feature of the Note range, and it appears that the stylus ’S-Pen’ will return in the Galaxy Note 10.

Last year Samsung gave the S-Pen Bluetooth capabilities, and it’s likely that the same will be true for this year’s version.

In terms of storage, Samsung itself has mentioned 256GB and 512GB capacities on its sites, although we also expect to see a 128GB option.

Other key features we expect include an Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, and Samsung’s Sound-on-Display feature, which means the screen vibrates to produce sound, rather than through front-facing speakers.

Price

Rumours on the price have been pretty sparse, although a recent leak suggested that Samsung would launch the Note 10 at the same price as the Note 9.

This indicates that the Note 10 could cost £899 - £1,099.
