Samsung accidentally leaks Galaxy S20 on its own website

The Samsung Galaxy S20 will feature a major camera upgrade ( OnLeaks )

Samsung has accidentally leaked its next flagship smartphone on its official website, days before its expected launch.

Images of the Galaxy S20 appear to confirm several previously rumoured features, including a hole-punch selfie camera and an updated rear camera arrangement.

The marketing materials were quickly removed from the Samsung website, but not before German tech site WinFuture took some screengrabs.

They showed the device within a case fitted with LEDs in a similar arrangement to one of the official cases for the Galaxy S10.

Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 also features a substantial bump for the housing unit of the rear camera lenses.

The Galaxy S20 is expected to be officially unveiled at Samsung's Unpacked event on 11 February, though numerous leaks mean there is little left that is not already known.

It is expected to come in different size, spec and price variants, with the top-tier version being the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.

The biggest upgrade will likely be the camera, which should come with a huge 108-megapixel image sensor capable of capturing far more detail than the Galaxy S10.

A new "Quick Take" camera feature will also allow users to take multiple photos at the same time with the ultra-wide, zoomed-in or regular lens.

It may not be the only phone to be launched at the South Korean firm's marquee event, which will be taking place this year in San Francisco.

Serial leaker Evan Blass shared images of Samsung’s forthcoming foldable smartphone – expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flip – showing pink and black colour schemes.

The folding flip phone features a significantly different design to Samsung's previous folding phone, the Galaxy Fold.

Rather than a horizontal mechanism that unfolds like a book, the Galaxy Z Flip opens vertically in a similar way to the recently announced Motorola Razr.

It will not come with the same high-end specs as the Galaxy S20, however Samsung will be hoping it can capture the attention of consumers in the emerging foldable phone market.

It is also expected to be cheaper than the top Galaxy S20 models, though prices for either phone are yet to be uncovered.
