Samson Ebukam happy to help Ketner Kupp any way he can

Samson Ebukam isn’t an established veteran in the NFL yet, coming off just his second season in 2018. Yet, despite only being 24 years old, he’s already becoming somewhat of a leader in the Los Angeles Rams locker room.

Ebukam, one of many Eastern Washington players on the roster, is happy to help Ketner Kupp any way he can. Kupp, an undrafted rookie linebacker and the younger brother of Cooper, is still trying to find his footing in the NFL as one of the newest members of the Rams.

“We’re in different film rooms, but I told (Ketner) if he needs anything from me, I’ll help him any way I can,” Ebukam said, via the Spokesman-Review.

The odds are against Kupp making the Rams’ 53-man roster, given the depth they have at linebacker. It also doesn’t help that he came to L.A. as an undrafted free agent, being an undersized linebacker.

However, he’s going to do everything in his power to impress the coaches and make the final roster.

“Just knowing your job and executing. At this level that’s what you get paid to do,” Kupp said.

“I need to stay in the best shape as I possibly can, really get in the playbook and understand it, and be willing to do anything they ask me to do. Any way you can help the team, you need to do it. That’s what’s going to help you stick around.”
