Sammy Feral's Diaries of Weird: Dragon Gold by Eleanor Hawken - review

This book was exciting, interesting and well, weird. I enjoyed the twisty turny plot and the exciting weirdness of it all.

It starts when two pandas arrive at feral zoo (Sammy's parent's zoo) and he discovers an egg but his friends Donny and Red take it away- they are crypto zoologists who study supposedly non existent animals backstage, in the part of the zoo not accessible to the public. They discover that it is a dragon egg! But then they have to save it from the grasp of mysterious mistress X…

My favourite part was Friday the 13th, as all the weird animals backstage went mad! It was total chaos! The fire breathing turtle destroyed his tank and the gut worm was trying to eat everyone. Oh – let's not forget Sammy's family are ex-werewolves and they turn into werewolves on that particular night which wasn't nice for him to see happen!

It was funny, gripping and so exciting – somehow I couldn't put it down! I just couldn't tear my eyes away from the page. i loved it. It is one of the best books I have EVER read. I totally and utterly recommend this book. It is best for over 7s though! Get it now!
