Samantha Womack's estranged husband Mark has been spotted without his wedding ring after news of their secret split emerged.
The Emmerdale actor, 59, who plays DI Mark Malone in the soap, was spotted chatting on his phone while out and about earlier this week with the ring noticeably missing from his left hand.
He was dressed casually in a grey t-shirt and some khaki coloured shorts, which he teamed with a blue baseball cap and a pair of black trainers.
Mark was photographed after ex EastEnders star Sam, who he's been married to for 11 years, revealed they split up two years ago.
Sam said that while the marriage is over they are still living together at their home in Bedfordshire.
Samantha and Mark are parents to children Benjamin, 19, and Lili Rose, 15, while she is also stepmum to Mark's son Michael, 25, from a previous relationship.
She told OK! magazine last month: "Our family home is big enough and we're co-existing happily. There's no rush to change things
"But now feels like the right time to be honest and admit we're no longer together."
The former couple met on the set of police drama Liverpool 1 back in 1998 before they tied the knot in 2009.
Sam added: "We decided that we didn't want to stay in a romantic relationship, but we liked our way of living.
"We have this beautiful house and we get a lot of time away from each other. We're still a family and we love and adore each other.
"He's still been the best relationship of my life and I think he would say the same of me.
"So we sat down with the kids and explained that we weren't going to be in a romantic relationship any more, but we would stay best friends.
"We've been happily living together ever since. It's bizarre but these have probably been the best years we've had as a family."
News of the secret split came just days after Samantha's onscreen sister Rita Simons, who played Roxy Mitchell, also ended her marriage and kept it quiet.
Rita split from her husband, hairdresser Theo Silverston, nearly two years ago.
