Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in top form. Her films are winning the box office -- Janatha Garage, A Aa, Theri, S/O Satyamurthy and Kaththi were all hits. She also has some interesting films in her kitty which include Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Mersal and Mahanati. However, it is her big fat October wedding to Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya that has caught everyone’s fancy. When it comes to weddings, the lady in question gets all the limelight, and that’s true for Sam too. Samantha’s clothes, jewellery and pictures from her January engagement totally floored us. Now, her October wedding trousseau is the talk of the town.
It is well known that her good friend, Mumbai-based designer Kresha Bajaj, will design her clothes for the big day. Kresha was a woman behind her engagement sari as well. Samantha gave a sneak peek at what maybe her wedding lehenga couple of days back. The cream-and-gold ensemble, lavishly embroidered and stone-studded left us impressed. The rich jadau set makes one gasp too.
Now, Samantha has posted some close ups of the dress and we suggest you must absolutely take a look at it. She put up two pictures: one of them has her covering her face with a golden dupatta, quite like a veil. The only bit of jewellery she wears is a neckpiece and, of course, her engagement ring. Evidently, it has been done to keep the audience’s attention firmly on the dress.

The message further read: “This beauty @samantharuthprabhuoffl giving us goddess feels in this edgy blouse and traditional lehenga, lensed by the magician @rohanshrestha and jewels by @vanrajzaveri.”

It is not immediately certain if the lehenga’s embroidery has a story to tell, though she dubs it a ‘love story’. It may be recalled that Samantha’s engagement sari did indeed tell a story -- Naga Chaitanya and her journey thus far was etched out on cloth.
Samantha and Chaitanya will wed in Goa in October. Their wedding ceremony will be a four-day affair (Oct 6-9) and will include a traditional Telugu Hindu wedding followed by church nuptial at a heritage church in Goa. While it will be a fairytale gown for her church ceremony, Samantha will appear in a special south Indian sari that was owned by Chaitanya’s grandmother D Rajeswari, wife of popular producer D Ramanaidu, for her Telugu rituals.
The couple has been in a relationship for a long time and got engaged on January 29 in Hyderabad. Sam and Chai, as they are popularly called by friends and family, first met on the sets of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Telugu romantic drama Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), and went on to work together in films such as Autonagar Surya and Manam.
