Sam Thompson's sister Louise gives her blessing after he takes back cheating Zara McDermott

Sam Thompson has gained his sister’s approval after deciding to give things another try with love rat Zara McDermott.

The 28-year-old Made In Chelsea star had been torn between his head and his heart after discovering that his Love Island girlfriend had cheated on him in the past.

Zara, 24, has spent recent months publicly begging Sam for forgiveness after she confessed to being unfaithful early on in their relationship.

Sam has decided to rekindle his romance with cheating Zara after mulling the decision over with family and friends.

And now the on-again couple has been given the blessing of Sam’s sister, 30, following months of heartache.

Zara shared a gushing Instagram post about Sam on Monday, telling him he is the "only gift" she wanted for her birthday.

She posted a snap of the couple cuddling and smiling with her boyfriend at an outdoor cinema.

Captioning the snap, she wrote: “The best birthday I could ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever have wished for in my whole life.

"I love you Sammy. Having you by my side forever is the only gift I wanted.

“There is no gift money could buy that could ever top this gift that you have given me. You.

"You are my moon and all my stars. #24."

Sam's sister Louise was among the first to rush to the comments, expressing how she was happy about their relationship and giving her blessing.

The fitness influencer wrote: "U guyzzzzzzz," which saw Zara reply with three love heart emojis.

Sam hinted he was on the verge of taking Zara back at the start of this month.

Speaking to the MailOnline, Sam opened up about forgiving his loved ones, admitting "we all make mistakes."

"I believe in forgiveness. I understand the context – and I think in any walk of life you can't move forward unless you forgive," he told the publication.
