Sam Smith denies signing up for Tinder after 'failing to find love on celeb dating app'

Sources close to Sam Smith have denied they have signed up for Tinder after a profile appearing to be from the singer appeared online.

It was reported Sam signed up to the app to find romance with a 'down to earth' partner after failing to find love on exclusive celebs-only match-making service Raya.

A source told The Sun: "Sam has been single for ages now and pals are keen to find someone. It’s hard enough to meet someone normally, but in the past year, because of the pandemic. Sam’s love life has suffered.

"Friends are hoping they can find a regular person who isn’t bothered about Sam’s star power or anything like that."

After coming out as non-binary in 2019, Sam said they are open to dating males and females.

The chart-topper previously revealed they got booted off dating app Hinge after administrators thought they were catfishing singletons and blocked their account.

Sam is said to have been single since their split from 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn in 2018.

The pair split after nine months with Sam reported as being 'devastated' at the time, before they deleted all traces of Brandon from social media.

"This is the most significant relationship Sam's ever had," a source close to the pop star told Page Six, blaming their hectic schedules for tearing them apart.
