Sam Quek and Jermaine Jenas back Liverpool, Man United, Celtic and Tottenham in this weekend's footie5

Missed penalties, VAR and other controversial moments have been the main points of discussion from last weekend's football.

Man United struggling to recognise who their best penalty taker is - still not Paul Pogba by the way - City's Jesus is praying VAR ruin his goal celebrations and Jack Grealish is still searching for a Premier League win.

But it is not just on-the-pitch we are seeing key moments for clubs.

The transfer window is still open in Europe and we could see a few more goings from the Premier League - even in the loan window to the lower leagues too.

But another week and the footie5 is back for another huge head-to-head contest with Jermaine Jenas and Sam Quek.

Quek and Jenas have both predicted the same outcomes but could a couple of goals change the Olympic gold medallist's fortunes around?

Man United v Crystal Palace

JJ: United 3-0 Palace

Palace are struggling to find the net again this season, United are back at home with their strong attack so I'm expecting a convincing win from the Red Devils. 3-0

SQ: United 1-0 Palace

United's squad seem pretty happy and motivated. If that hasn't changed, I see them beating Hodgson's team, who are usually defensively solid.

Will Sam be able to close the gap this weekend? (thepools.com)

Fulham v Nottingham Forest

JJ: Fulham 1-1 Forest

Two teams of the back of good wins and both teams I feel will get stronger as the season progress. Score draw for me.

SQ: Fulham 1-1 Forest

I think Fulham have the stronger team & should nick this at home; but I am going for the score draw & double points to beat Jermaine Jenas!

Liverpool v Arsenal

JJ: Liverpool 3-2 Arsenal

All out attack this one, I've not been convinced by either defence as yet this season but just think Liverpool will enjoy the spaces Arsenal leave.

SQ: Liverpool 3-2 Arsenal

This fixture usually has goals, goals and more goals. Two great attacks and two defences that can be exploited at times. I pick Liverpool to win though (obviously!)

How will Jermaine Jenas do this week? (thepools.com)

Celtic v Hearts

JJ: Celtic 3-1 Hearts

After disappointment in the Champions League qualifier and an unconvincing win in the league cup I expect Neil Lennon to get a reaction for this game.

SQ: Celtic 2-1 Hearts

Celtic usually win at home, it's just guessing by how many goals. It's been 2-1 to Celtic in their last three meetings, so I'll go for that.

Spurs v Newcastle

JJ: Spurs 2-0 Newcastle

The tough start for Newcastle continues and with Son back for Spurs I only see a comfortable win for Pochettino's side.

SQ: Spurs 2-0 Newcastle

Spurs look even better than last year and should win this fixture at home comfortably. I do worry where Newcastle's goals will from.
