Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish unveil cover for second book Clanlands Almanac

Sam Heughan has unveiled the brand new cover for his second book Clanlands Almanac.

Back in June, the Outlander actor and his co-star Graham McTavish announced a follow-up to their incredibly popular Clandlands book and now he has revealed the front cover for the very first time.

The book, the Clanlands Almanac, much like their first book, follows their adventures around Scotland.

There will be two versions, a blue cover for the UK and a red cover for the US.

The two Scottish actors wrote their original book Clanlands as a companion to their hit show Men in Kilts, during the first lockdown after their were forced to take a break in filming.

It proved to be incredibly popular when it was released ahead of the first series of their adventure travel show and fans will be delighted to know that he follow up is due to be released in November this year.

Speaking about the cover on Instagram, Sam said: "Whoo hooo!!!!!!!! COVER REVEAL: The Clanlands Almanac, published 9th November! US and UK versions, which is your favourite?! Go to www.Clanlandsbook.com to preorder."

And fans couldn't contain their excitement for it's release.

One wrote: "Omg they look amazing."

Another added: "Ahh how exciting!"

While one said: "This is great!! Already ore-ordered and can’t wait to see how it looks!! Thanks for the pre-Christmas gift, Sam!!"

Speaking about the new book, Graham said: "If Clanlands was a gentle road trip with our readers through Scotland, this Almanac is a top down, pedal to the metal, up-and-down odyssey through the many byways of a Scottish year."

The original Clanlands book (Clanlands)

The Almanac will see Sam and Graham once again turn tour guides once again to bring readers more epic tales in this "seasonal meander through the wilds of Scotland".

Looking at customs and traditions from First Footing to Samhain throughout the year, alongside Scottish legends and whisky lore the dynamic duo will share stories and tips for Scots and Non-Scots alike.

Sam added: "An invitation to anyone who picks up the book to join us on a crazy campervan exploration over 12 glorious, whisky-fuelled months.

Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are back with a new book (Clanlands)

"Mountains, battles, famous (and infamous) Scots, the alarming competitiveness of Men in Kilts , clans, feuds, flora, fauna, with a healthy sprinkling of embarrassing personal reminiscences thrown in. Much is explored, all is shared, lawsuits are inevitable. It is a campervan cornucopia of all things Alba."

They've also confirmed that a partnership with Barnes & Noble in the US, Indigo in Canada, and Waterstones in the UK, will see a limited edition version of The Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland will be available and will feature never-before-seen images of Sam and Graham on their adventures.
