Sam Greenwood says he is joining Leeds United at an 'exciting time' for the club after completing his move from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old striker has signed a three-year deal at Elland Road after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth an initial £1.5million.
Greenwood leaves the Emirates after a two-year spell following his move down south from Sunderland in 2018 and has detailed why he has chosen to return north.
"I'm absolutely buzzing. I can't wait to get started. It's such a big club, it's exciting times for the club," he told LUTV.
"For me, it seems like it's got such a good pathway for young players to come through. Such an exciting manager and the fans are special."
During his time on north London Greenwood established himself in the club's under-23s side and also as an England under-18 international, but said now was the right time to make a move.
"Yeah, 100 per cent," he continued. "Such an exciting time. Arsenal's a great club, I've met some great people along the way, but for me and my career I think it's the perfect time to come to Leeds and kick on now.
"I started at Sunderland, got the move to Arsenal and now I've come here I feel like I relate to these people. Obviously Sunderland is a working class area, similar to Leeds and I think I'll fit into this kind of environment perfectly. It feels nice to be up north."

Greenwood, who will initially link up with the under-23s, has also told Whites fans what sort of player they can expect
"I'm a striker, both footed. I like to make runs in behind and I like to run at defenders, find half a yard and get my shots off.
"[My target is] to try and make a breakthrough, make a name for myself in front of the Leeds fans and kick on basically."
The draw of working with Marcelo Bielsa was also something that was too good to turn down.
"So exciting," Greenwood added. "I can't wait to work under him. Work hard and hopefully impress him."
Greenwood is the latest of a series of promising teenagers that the club have snapped up this summer, with former Ajax goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel, Fulham defender Cody Drameh, Linfield starlet Charlie Allen and Wigan Athletic striker Joe Gelhardrt all signing up.
