Sam Greenwood has said his farewells at Arsenal as the England youth international gets set to seal a move to Leeds United.
The 18-year-old is believed to have undergone his medical at the club on Wednesday ahead of a move that will see Leeds pay in initial fee of around £1.5million, which could rise to £3million.
The likes of AC Milan and Manchester United were also chasing the England under-18s star, who has now gone on to confirm his departure from Arsenal after two seasons in north London in an Instagram post.
"I want to say a big thank [you to] Arsenal and the supporters for the last 2 years of my career. Been an honour to play for the club while meeting some special people and making even better memories," he posted on the social network.
Greenwood will become the latest promising youngster to arrive at Elland Road this summer following the signatures of Dani van den Hueval, Charlie Allen, Cody Drameh and Joe Gelhardt, who will all be looking to initially make there mark on the under-23s side before pushing for first-team spots.
Greenwood joined Arsenal from Sunderland in 2018 and over the past five seasons he has netted 15 times in 20 appearances for England's under-17 and under-18 sides, a tally bettered only by Liverpool's Rhian Brewster.
