Sam Fender releases Amy Winehouse Back to Black cover

Sam Fender has released his cover of Amy Winehouse's Back To Black.

Sam recorded the track on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge earlier this year. After "much fan persistence" the North Shields chart topper has released the song online. It is streaming now and can be listened to for free on YouTube. The soul cover is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play and Deezer.

Sam said: “Back To Black is such a long-standing favourite of mine, and Amy remains a national treasure. I love that album too, I hopefully did the track some justice. You’ll all be the judge of that.”

The singer-songwriter has announced rescheduled dates for his UK shows, including his hometown gigs at Newcastle Arena and This is Tomorrow Festival, which were postponed due the coronavirus pandemic. Sam's Utilita Arena concert is now set for Monday September 21, while he is due to perform at This is Tomorrow in Exhibition Park on Sunday August 16, as things stand.

All original tickets remain valid.
